Environmental Policy Statement
We are a Xerox company and adhere to the corporate environmental policy statement found at http://www.xerox.com/about-xerox/environment/policy/enus.html
Environmentally Preferable Products and Services
Each new generation of Xerox products offers more functionality and uses less energy – saving our customers money and reducing their carbon footprint. Xerox is a charter partner of the Energy Star program and has introduced nearly 500 Energy Star qualified products since 1994. The annual savings from our Energy Star qualified equipment installed in our customer's locations is equivalent to lighting one million U.S. homes for a year.
Xerox multifunction printers reduce the amount of energy used by combining the functions of multiple products into one machine. Approximately 50% less energy is used by one multifunction printer than the combined annual consumption of the individual products it replaces. Our online Sustainability Calculator tool helps customers find opportunities to reduce their environmental impact while reducing costs.
The Energy Star Xerox ColorQube multifunction copier offers non-toxic, cartridge-free solid ink technology, reducing waste by 90%. See video on solid ink : Go Green
Xerox pioneered the practice of remanufacturing, reusing and recycling of office equipment. Our machines are designed for easy disassembly and durability, contain fewer parts, and are controlled for chemical content.
Independently-Audited Environmental Management System
Xerox was an early adopter of ISO 14001, an international standard for environmental management. All of Xerox's major manufacturing sites were certified to ISO 14001 in 1997, within one year of that standard's development.

Solid Waste/Material Use Reduction and Reuse
Since the early 1990s, Xerox has maintained an internal initiative known as the Waste-Free Factory, which has achieve a 92% recycling rate for non-hazardous materials.

Recycling
The Xerox Green World Alliance collection and reuse / recycling program in partnership with our customers results in millions of cartridges and toner containers returned for reuse or recycling each year.
Xerox carefully manages suppliers that provide recycling and waste disposal services. An audit process ensures that vendor practices are safe, environmentally sound, and compliant with regulations.
